Remuera Rise Celebrated its 7th Anniversary
The residents of Remuera Rise invited the staff and directors as special guests to join them at the Orakei Bay Function Centre to celebrate the village’s seventh anniversary in July. This was to thank staff for taking such good care of them during lockdown.
The theme was Roaring Twenties, and combined with good spirits, fine wine and delicious food the evening was one to remember.
Everyone celebrated in style with a three-course fine dining option. Entrée was a choice between poached king prawns and butternut squash rice cakes. The choice of mains was slow-cooked lamb shanks, pan roast salmon or spiced kumara and black lentil rosti. To finish, there was butter pudding with vanilla custard.
The highlight of the evening was Raj, our kitchen staffer, dancing with one of our oldest residents Laura Baker.
