Registered Nurse

$30 - $35 per hour, experience dependant

Bonus of $2,000 payable after 2 years of service

About the Role

Our small, friendly care team are on the look-out for a Registered Nurse with excellent leadership skills, assertive and passionate about delivering exceptional service to provide first class care  to our residents. This role encompasses the assessment, planning and implementation of nursing care; working with our care staff in a way that facilitates effective communication, teamwork and high clinical standards while supporting quality improvement within the team. The ratio of staff to residents is very high with at least 3-4 staff on shift to care for our 12 residents.

On offer are two opportunities:

  • 6/7 shifts per fortnight / night shifts / alternate weekends off

  • 9 shifts per fortnight /am/pm/night / alternate weekends off

About You

To be successful in this role you will preferably have:

  • Strong clinical knowledge and experience in the NZ aged care sector

  • Ability to provide clinical care including assessments, planning and delivery of care according to NZ nursing practice and standards

  • Sound English communication skills

  • Ability to lead a team of Health Care Assistants and work as sole RN

  • Organisational skills and an ability to multi-task

  • A friendly and proactive “Can Do” attitude

  • Interai training preferred

  • The management skill to always be audit ready

  • Current NZ APC

  • NZ Citizenship / residency or work permit.
